Wake Up Before Its Too Late!

This thought came to me while I was going through some article in a daily newspaper, which was about the popularity of English as the first preferred language among the youth of our country. Many of us don't even know meaning of some of the "out of fashion" or "out-dated" hindi words. Though this may be quite natural, for us to be much more inclined towards the language which is spoken by majority of the people across the world but is it natural to ignore our own tradition, our own culture, just in order to copy others. Or to be more specific to be called as global citizens. Many of you reading this, may find this a little exaggerated but just think upon, how many of you remember exactly the exact wordings of our national song or national anthem or even how many of you can correctly differentiate between the two. Hardly the number would cross two digits. I am not criticising anyone, as a matter of fact even I don't remember the lyrics of the song exactly. Its not just one example, there are enough number of evidence to prove the fact that we Indians are neglecting our Mother tongue. Even to say we have converted it from Mother tongue to just Other tongue. Even now, its not too late to start preserving our language, our culture and tradition, or else some years down the line, Hindi would become a language like Sanskrit, and would only be learned and practiced by a minority of the society. Wake Up before its too late!!
