Wake Up Before Its Too Late!

This thought came to me while I was going through some article in a daily newspaper, which was about the popularity of English as the first preferred language among the youth of our country. Many of us don't even know meaning of some of the "out of fashion" or "out-dated" hindi words. Though this may be quite natural, for us to be much more inclined towards the language which is spoken by majority of the people across the world but is it natural to ignore our own tradition, our own culture, just in order to copy others. Or to be more specific to be called as global citizens. Many of you reading this, may find this a little exaggerated but just think upon, how many of you remember exactly the exact wordings of our national song or national anthem or even how many of you can correctly differentiate between the two. Hardly the number would cross two digits. I am not criticising anyone, as a matter of fact even I don't remember the lyrics of the song exactly. Its not just one example, there are enough number of evidence to prove the fact that we Indians are neglecting our Mother tongue. Even to say we have converted it from Mother tongue to just Other tongue. Even now, its not too late to start preserving our language, our culture and tradition, or else some years down the line, Hindi would become a language like Sanskrit, and would only be learned and practiced by a minority of the society. Wake Up before its too late!!

So what is your solution to this problem of the "youth of the country" preferring an alien tongue over their own? Would you force Hindi down the throats of a generation that has grown up with English as their language of choice?
Secondly, the entire point of language is to make yourself clearly understood. The most logical step is to learn the most common language of the times. "The attempt to copy others" as you so negatively term it is simply nothing but the most common sense approach to communication.
Thirdly, get off your moral high horse sonny, and quit giving me bull about how important Hindi is to our culture. The predominant reason you would like to see Hindi become the dominant language of the land is just because you are good at Hindi. Not because you care about Indian culture.

First of all who ever you are at least have the decency to leave the comment with your name so that I can comprehend about the same. Also as I've clearly mentioned that its not a criticism but just a thought which strikes very often to me and not at all because I'm good at it but I do feel seriously seeing the condition around me. Also to your point on communication then please dude why don't we go for french then as it is more widely spoken than English. If we ourselves are not interested in preserving our culture then how can we expect that others would care for us. Also I would like to mention that in some of the European nations Sanskrit is being made as a part of their curriculum. Lastly this was not an attack on you but just expressing my views. Don't take it 2 heart. You need not be anonymous, I am not staunch Hindi writer who would harm you for speaking against Hindi.
